Abstract
A CMOS current feedback op amp has been designed and tested. The design is suitable for implementation on digital VLSI technology, and exploits a novel CMOS compound transistor which offers a higher transconductance than a single MOS transistor for the same power dissipation. This is achieved by local current feedback. Here we discuss the design trade offs of this building block and present measurements on a 0.6 μm digital CMOS technology implementation. The measurements confirm that the design achieves wide bandwidth and good linearity with low power dissipation
