Abstract
Proposes a design method for sampled-data I-PD control systems. Given a plant model and a sampling period, it gives a control system with an adequate step response by simple calculations. It can also be applied to: (a) continuous-time I-PD control system design as the special case of zero sampling period; (b) sampled-data PID control system design for the purpose of keeping effects of disturbance down. It is useful not only from a practical viewpoint but also for such applications as self-tuning I-PD control
