Abstract
The effects of sample size and antenna radiation pattern on the measurement of reflectivity are investigated. The primary sources of error are discussed from an experimental viewpoint, with measured data being used to demonstrate the effects described above. A new approach to modelling radar absorbing materials (RAM) with finite dimensions is described. The model makes use of the plane wave spectrum representation of electromagnetic fields
