Abstract :
In this paper, the design of variable structure control (VSC) for discrete systems with time-delays is considered. The original discrete system with time-delay is simplified to discrete system without time-delay. By analyzing the disadvantage of the exponential reaching law and the variable rate reaching law, an improved discrete reaching law for discrete-time variable structure control systems is proposed. By applying the proposed control law to discrete-time variable structure control systems, the stability around zero and far from zero are better than the exponential reaching law and variable rate reaching law. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed control law.
