Abstract :
To measure the model´s poses in the spin tests, we present a measurement method based on stereo vision and a set of manmade signs on the surface of the spin model in this paper. Through images caught by two monochrome CCD video cameras, the three-dimensional coordinates of manmade signs on the model are rebuilt. By the signs´ coordinates in the plane reference frame and their coordinates in the world reference frame, we can judge the model´s poses in the world reference frame. The experimental results, the model in a rotary balance, demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The data are shown in the paper.
