A new method for computing the directtivity of cheibyshev and modified chebyshev arrays

A method for exact calculation of the directivity of Chebyshev and modijied Chebyshev arrays is presented. It makes use of Chebyshev polynomials and puts the integral in the denominator of the directivity expression into a form that is solved later. Although it does not provide a closed form expression, this method is mostly useful for studying the variations of directivity against varied sidelobe level, inter-element spacing and inter-element phase shifr for any given number of elements.
