Abstract :
The accuracy in vector quantization (VQ) is greatly limited by the size of a usable codebook. This work proposes a novel VQ method based on a k-dimensional point-to-line projection that achieve a high quantization accuracy and a low implementation complexity, thus extending the application of VQ to high-dimensional cases
