Abstract :
PCPEM is a propagation forecasting tool for the modelling of atmospheric effects on radar and communication systems; it is based on the parabolic equation, and runs on a PC system. The package is flexible and easy to use, and includes several numerical and analytical meteorological models for use with meteorological data or parametric studies. In particular, the model will cope with (essentially arbitrary) two-dimension refractive index structures, and fully accounts for the effects of atmospheric absorption and dispersion, important at millimetre-wave frequencies
