Abstract
In this paper, three new input methods for CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B are introduced. As the characters in extension B are always appearing in ancient books, the pronunciations of most of them are unfamiliar for readers, so an input method based on the character structure is easier to input. Within computer, CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B are stored by four-bytes. Considering the character structure, this paper designs three input methods: Stroke Input Method based on the writing sequence; Simplified Strokes Input Method which takes the common features of the characters in this part into account and simplifies the input process; and Radicals Plus Character Structure Input Method. Experiment results show that the three input methods are convenient and very easy for users to input the Chinese characters in B extension part.
