Abstract
In WSNs, energy efficiency of the network is considered with utmost priority in order to lengthen the lifespan of the network. This paper proposes a two layer hierarchical routing protocol called Chain Routing Protocol based on Coordinate Clustering Strategy (CRBCC), which ensures the minimum energy consumption and short delay. At first, CRBCC makes cluster equally according to y coordinates. Then, CRBCC will make chain routing by simulated annealing algorithm (SA) inside cluster and select chain leader according to x coordinates. Lastly, CRBCC will make chain routing by SA method between chain leaders. Simulation results show that CRBCC performs better than other hierarchical routing protocols such as PEGASIS and LEACH.
