Abstract
The Sakai Community develops and distributes the open-source Sakai CLE, an enterprise-ready collaboration and courseware management platform that provides users with a suite of learning, portfolio, library and project tools. As an open source course management system, because of his open-source, as well as a powerful teaching function, Sakai has received the great success at the global level, and its applications has also been in full carried out in domestic. In the Sakai platform, the core is its permission management module, so if we want to have a comprehensive understanding of the operation and do some second developments about the Sakai, let it apply in the teaching, we need to do some in-depth research about the permission management of the Sakai. First of all, this article briefly introduced Sakai and Sakai application status at home and abroad, and it analyzed the Sakai permission management from the types of user accounts and roles respectively, then it further studied the relationship among the sites, roles, users, and permissions, and lastly it given practical examples, and described how to write the permission in the development process.
