Abstract :
In our recent studies on hydrocarbon molecules in intense laser fields, we found that hydrogen atoms migrate very rapidly, and that triatomic hydrogen molecular ions are ejected with high efficiency. On the basis of these findings, the characteristic ultrafast hydrogen atom dynamics within hydrocarbon molecules is discussed.
