Abstract
In order to resolve conflicts in multiagent systems many different approaches and strategies can be found; conflict avoidance is one possible approach as well. This paper presents how active databases were used within a multiagent system to avoid physical conflicts. Especially, the concept of time triggers is important for the developed solution and it is demonstrated how time triggers can be used to avoid physical conflicts and simulate proactive behaviour.
