Abstract :
The virtual human face is an important type of content which is efficiently represented and coded by the MPEG-4 Face and Body Animation specification. This paper addresses the basic functionality of the standard and describes a facial motion capture system which automatically generates MPEG-4 Face Animation Parameters from video of a real human. Face model design considerations and application scenarios are also covered
