Abstract
This paper develops a general framework for infinitesimal perturbation analysis (IPA) for fluid queues, and applies it to a queue with flow control. Unlike previous works, we consider signal delays in the feedback channel. The performance measure of interest is the loss volume, and the variable parameters are the buffer size and the feedback gain. The IPA derivatives are characterized, and simulation results are presented.
