Abstract :
The characteristic of deep space communication is that its communication distance is long while the transmission loss is proportional to the square of the distance. In order to overcome the huge transmission loss and ensure reliable communication under a limited transmission power, we must use communication which can work at low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and which can also take full use of bandwidth in order to improve the performance of deep space communication. Because Parallel Combinatory Spread Spectrum Communication System (PC/SS) can work at low SNR, with the anti-jamming, higher bandwidth utilization and higher information transmission capabilities, PC/SS is a good choice. This paper studies the applications of PC/SS in deep space communication. First, this paper introduces the theory of PC/SS and its baseband model, then gives key algorithm of PC/SS baseband spread spectrum and despreading spectrum. Furthermore, through example of algorithm, this paper proves the system no error. And this paper also shows hardware block diagram of the system.
