Abstract :
We demonstrated a broad bandwidth optical filter using a pair of long-period fiber gratings (LPGs) , which have wide dynamic range. A wide bandwidth of ~200 nm with insertion loss of ~5 dB has been realized. The optimal longitudinal offset distance between two LPGs was 8 cm.
