Abstract :
Mechanical systems simulation (MSS) codes have reached the same level of maturity exhibited by finite element analysis (FEA). FEA codes are generally unsuitable for system analyses in which the system motions, especially rotations, become large. Specially architected for the nonlinearities associated with large motion in three-dimensional space, the ADAMS MSS code has found a broad range of application in the aerospace field. The paper reviews some of those applications
