Abstract :
The complete analysis for the complex vector effective length and the polarization mismatch factor for one turn helix is given and new analytical closed form expressions are deduced. A triangular current distribution is assumed along the wire to verify the boundary condition at its ends. The same parameters are calculated for multiturn normal mode helical receiving antenna using the method of moments.
