Abstract
In order to model complex structures for EMC simulations, it is necessary to provide a means to model conducting connections between wire and surface structures. This paper presents new basis functions for connections between wire and surface structures for time domain method of moments (MoM) solving the electric field integral equation (EFIE). The derivation of these basis functions is described, leading to a time domain MoM implementation applicable to a broad class of EMC problems. Result verification is given by comparison to results obtained from frequency domain methods.
