Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. The Canadian government has awarded spectrum licenses to three operators in the Canadian market. These operators anticipate deployment of their LMCS architecture in the latter half of 1997. These systems will deliver a variety of interactive services to residential and business users. This paper discusses the challenges that these operators face for the successful deployment of this relatively new technology.
