Abstract :
A newly proposed high-performance speed/positional servo control scheme using ultrasonic motors (USMs) with a high torque at low speeds which is based upon modern fuzzy-reasoning concepts is discussed. The new methods of USM servo control use inverter frequency regulation and constant-velocity amplitude control strategies, including a phase-shifted angle control scheme between two-phase inverters. The experimental results are demonstrated and evaluated.<>
