Abstract :
This paper describes the satellite acquisition error for tracking, telemetry and command of the KOMPSAT satellite. It shows the allowable acquisition errors of the satellite position as functions of angle, satellite path length, and acquisition time. The analysis method at the 3 dB beamwidth is considered as the general one for the acquisition error, and the analysis at more than 3 dB beamwidth is considered as the expanded method. We propose two methods to obtain the allowable acquisition errors
