Abstract :
The tri-plate flat antenna has very attractive characteristics such as wide frequency bandwidth, high efficiency and easy manufacturing. Since this antenna element is excited by an electromagnetic coupled feeding probe, it is difficult to obtain an analysis model including the effect of probe and there are few references for the tri-plate antenna. The present paper gives a theory of the tri-plate flat antenna to calculate the input impedance characteristics of the feeding probes, and also verifies the analysis with measured data.
