Abstract :
This work proposed an intelligent home (i-Home) system and architecture design for home automation and life services. The i-Home system architecture is deployed in the house as a data handling and transferring server and provides data collection services for mobile devices utilized by family members. Three subsystems, i-security, i-automation, and i-health, are included into the i-Home system. The purpose of i-Home architecture is to provide a platform for heterogeneous sensors and devices. Among the system, we presented a communication adapter, IHCA, as the communication component. In addition, to connect with various sensors and devices, a device adapter, IHDA, is developed. Finally, an example is illustrated to verify the system architecture.
