Abstract :
The aim of this work is to present a customized simulation tool for analysis and design of Terahertz Optical Asymmetric Demultiplexers based on Sagnac loop. We present a fast and versatile tool to emulate the behavior of key design parameters of the demux components such as semiconductor optical amplifier, splitters, fiber delay line and others. Furthermore, we demonstrate a bit to bit all optical demultiplexer, where one channel is extracted from a 64-bit frame at 10 Gbps transmission rate. Also, the behavior of the demux as an optical logical AND-gate is verified.
