Abstract
We demonstrate new power-efficient techniques for generating high-fidelity waveforms from directly modulated lasers using periodic high-contrast spectral and temporal windowing. Real-time optical M-FSK communication experiments demonstrate flexible and scalable transceiver designs with record sensitivity.
