Abstract
The proposed concept for chrominance sharpness improvement allows operation on high definition signals as well as on standard definition signals respectively on scaled signals up to resolutions of 1920 times 1080. The concept shows dramatically increased noise- and jitter robustness and can avoid artifacts like color overflow and false colors introduced by phase misaligned chrominance components.
