Abstract :
A number of research and development projects over the last decade have dealt with the application of surface/ground penetrating radar (GPR) techniques for the detection of buried antipersonnel and antitank mines, industrial nondestructive testing or the search for buried bodies. Different schemes, i.e., down-looking, forward-looking, and side-looking GPR-systems are under development. This paper reviews the state of the art and compares the applied techniques, features and resulting characteristics
