Abstract :
A dual polarized waveguide slotted array for Ka band application is designed. Vertical polarization (VP) is realized by longitudinal slots on broad wall of the ridge waveguide sub array, while horizontal polarization (HP) is realized by tilted slot pairs in the narrow wall of the rectangular waveguide sub array. The feed networks are also designed for each polarization. Especially that for VP, a method to improve the coupling is presented. The antenna has low cross-polarization level and high degree of isolation between two ports.
