Abstract :
According to state space explosion of reliability modeling in the Flexible Manufacturing System(FMS), a Hierarchical Stochastic Petri Nets named HSPN is proposed and a reliability modeling of FMS is given based on HSPN in this paper. By subdividing layer method information hiding is supported through the appropriate interfaces. Inheritance is supported through abstract places, transmissions and tokens. Interaction is supported through message passing. The key factor of reliability in the system is analyzed and simulated. The simulation results show that the problem of state space explosion can be effectively solved in large complex systems.
