Abstract :
This correspondence presents a dual sleeve antenna which is unrelated with ground plane for broadband applications. The proposed omnidirectional antenna, which works from 400MHz to 900MHz in frequency, applies choking technique to eliminate the effect of ground plane. Working principle, design proposals as well as some key points during design procedure are addressed in this article as well. The antenna is simulated and fabricated; the measured characters show reasonable agreement with the simulated ones.
