Abstract :
The demand for RFID tags has recently increased due to the development of the RFID, and the tags in UHF band are widely used with the higher read range and higher data transfer rate. In this paper, the RFID system is introduced first, in order to obtain the maximized read range, two main techniques for achieving complex impedance matching between tag antenna and IC are discussed and then an experimental methodology for the characterization of the impedance of balanced RFID tag antennas is presented.
