Abstract :
In this paper, an adaptive downlink packet scheduling algorithm for real-time and non-real-time multiservice applications in cognitive radio system is proposed. With QoS and spectrum variation awareness capability, the proposed algorithm possesses adaptability to dynamic resource. And this property makes it suitable for cognitive radio system, in which available spectrums vary with the activities of primary users. Simulation results show that, compared with traditional packet scheduling algorithms, the proposed algorithm provides better QoS guarantee for real-time traffics, higher system access capacity and more efficient spectrum utilization for cognitive radio system.
