Abstract
For impulse radio UWB systems based on the probability and statistics, a novel multi-user detection is presented. HMM systems for the systems of time-hopping BPSK in UWB are developed separately in the paper. Considering seeking for the following sequence of maximal transition probability corresponding to previous sequence, a framework for the design of multi-user detector and the maximum a posteriori (MAP) multi-user detector has been constructed. Numerical examples reveal that the proposed detection schemes provide significant performance improvements in terms of bit error rate over the conventional single-user UWB detector.
