Abstract
Transient scattering properties of dipole array with reflector are analyzed in this paper by FDTD and PML methods. The scattered waveforms, patterns defined by peak-amplitude of scattered pulses, and patterns defined by scattered energy are given. In order to reduce the peak-amplitude of the scattered pulses in backward direction, the edges of the reflector are loaded with resistance. The results of array with reflector edge loaded are compared with those of array without loading.
