  • Abstract
Transitive signature was introduced to meet the needs of certain applications like signing a chain of command, a chain of certificate or transitive binary relations. In this paper, we propose an application of transitive signature to cross-certification. The application uses the transitivity of transitive signature to transfer trust relation in cross-certification. It only needs to sign a minimum number of signatures and the details among the relation can be hidden. If the chain of trust relation is long, the application can reduce the verification in the middle of trust relation to improve verification efficiency. It also improves the construction and verification efficiency of trust relation with dynamic growth.
