Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a service handover supporting scheme under the help of wireless sensors in hybrid wireless-optical broadband access network (WOBAN). In this scenario, users can maintain access to their services uninterrupted even while moving or changing terminals. The hybrid network is composed of Ethernet-based passive network (EPON) and wireless network. The function of middleware developed is to transmit the service information between different user clients. While the wireless sensors are used for users´ localization. We validate the service handover scheme in our test-bed and analyze the change of traffic. The implementation shows that our proposed scheme can support service handover successfully.
