Abstract :
In this paper, the performance of differential phase modulation schemes for ultra-high speed long-haul fiber-optic communication system has been evaluated and compared. The quality factor Q is measured from the eye-pattern at the end of the dispersion-managed transmission line. Only self-phase modulation, dispersion effect and amplifier noise are considered here.
