Abstract :
Survivability is the ability of a network to cope with facility outages, capacity overloads and natural disasters. It includes such factors as architecture, construction quality, dispersion of facilities, facility and support system redundancy, and network management and management processes. Sprint provides telecommunications services within the United States and its possessions and worldwide through partnership agreements with foreign host governments or foreign government telecommunications authorities. This paper focuses on survivability attributes of the Continental United States (CONUS) Sprint network which is wholly owned and/or controlled by Sprint. Both present capabilities and future enhancements are addressed
