Abstract
In RFNC-VNIIEF there is being created a four-module electrophysical facility “Gamma-4” (2 MV, 3 MA, 320 kJ, 60 ns), meant for studies in the area of radiation physics. A typical module, involving systems of high-volt pulse formation and energy transmission to the load unit, have been developed and experimentally tested for the facility. On the matched load the module generates an electric pulse with voltage and current amplitudes up to 2 MV, 750 kA and with a half-amplitude duration 60 ns [1].
