Abstract
Presents a control design method for nonlinear systems. In this method a set of control laws is designed based on the linear models about some points of state space of nonlinear systems. The controller output is the result of applying fuzzy logic theory to manipulate the given set of control laws. By this approach, the authors ensure good performance as expected when the state space trajectory is around or about the points where linear models are based to find the control laws and reasonable performance in other regions. This method can be applied to nonlinear systems which are not feedback linearisable. Some simulation results of a 4th order nonlinear system, ball and beam system, are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of this method
