Abstract
This paper proposes an intelligent testing system for small wind generator based on an upper computer: by means of programming, the system drives variable frequency induction motor to simulate the operational state of wind turbine; next, the system measures input and output data from generator by two close data loops acquisition at the same time; ultimately, the system realizes calculating and display on measured generator performance at variable speed. The test result indicates that the system meets the requirement of imitation of the wind turbine and the main performance indexes´ real-time detection of small wind generator under the laboratory environment, and provides high-performance equipment for accurate design, analysis and assessment of small wind generator under wind varying.
