Abstract
In this paper we propose a MAC (Medium Access Control) protocol based on spread spectrum with an efficient genetic algorithm for optimizing the transmission rate. In addition to, the proposed MAC protocol solves the next issues: combining power, interference, and interference ratio in a multihop ad-hoc network and data rate. Simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed protocol.
