Abstract
Mobile agent system using customized (Java RMI) Agent Servers provides a specific set of services in this case looking for a particular learning resource or learning objects from a set of Learning Management Systems that are distributed among various Servers. The Agent is transported or migrated from one LMS Node into another LMS node for searching the Learning Objects based on the context of the Learner Client using Java Object Serialization providing by invoking an RMI Remote Method. The objectives of this paper is to demonstrate the ability of the mobile agents technology in e-Learning System, we developed a prototype system which makes use of a Java RMI, Distributed Learning Management System and the mobile agents. In this case the agents move to the place where the learning objects are stored and select content which is requested by the Learner. The Agents decentralize the providing control and hence reduce the traffic and also balance the load. The main aim of this work is to use mobile agents paradigm to implement the distributed elearning systems rather using conventional client server paradigm to balance load and to increase the performance throughput.
