Abstract
The operation Characteristics of the permanent magnet synchronous traction motor is mostly affected by the iron loss. In this paper, the PM flux linkage ψf, d-axis armature inductance Lad and q-axis armature inductance Laq was adopted to investigate the variation of iron loss under different load torque. It founded that increasing ψf, decreasing the γ or Lad, the iron loss increase smaller compared to the no load condition.
