Abstract
A measurement and control system is designed according to the requirement of digital transformation to the WJ-10 universal tension and compression testing machine. This system is made up of two parts: The data acquisition system based on C8051F020 and the monitoring system based on the virtual instrument LABVIEW The physical quantities (such as tension, pressure, deformation, temperature, etc.) of the specimen during the tension and compression experiment are digital and graphical display and storage by using this system. The historical data, curves can be called to be compared to the current experimental data. The FT245 which replace the RS232 and USB is used in the communication between the MCU and the computer, which improve the data transfer rate greatly and also simplify the program code greatly.
