Abstract :
Multiple antennas, which can significantly increase the channel capacity, is one of the key technologies in the next generation wireless communication systems. In this paper, we present a general multiple antenna evolution platform (GMAP), which is a software-defined radio platform for implementing a real-time multiple-antenna system on a hybrid FPGA/DSP test-bed. Furthermore, two applications implemented on the GMAP are introduced: one is a dual-antenna system for TD-SCDMA terminals; another is a MIMO system with 8 transmit antennas and 4 receive antennas
