Abstract :
An improved structure of air-core tubular linear generator with double side halbach permanent magnets was proposed. With changed arrangement of the permanent magnets, this proposed generator can provide bigger electromotive force (EMF) and higher efficiency than the reported one with same dimensions. Using finite element method (FEM), electromagnetic field and performances of the generator were analyzed systematically. The variation curve of efficiency with the output power was calculated when the load was adjustable resistance. Based on the analysis results, a series of quasi-optimization criteria was obtained.
