Abstract :
This paper deals with observer-based controller design problem for linear neutral systems. Two design methods are proposed in this paper: separation principle approach and Lyapunov functional approach. The first method is a natural extension of separation principle of ordinary linear time-invariant systems. The second method uses Lyapunov functional to guarantee the stability of the overall closed-loop system. An efficient LMI approach is developed to solve the problem. At last, a numerical example is provided to illustrate our main result.
